Watership Down

The opening from the 1979 Hugo award nominated film, slightly distorted by the transfer process. First, we have a bit of rabbit mythology, rendered in a style similar to that of Australian aborigines, then the story proper begins with soft watercolor backgrounds and realistic animal animations. The film is rated U in the UK and PG in the US, primarily for realistic depictions of violence. Those ratings are probably a bit excessive, to warn those who might think an animated film about rabbits is children's fare. The cast of voice actors is exceptional.

I have searched everywhere and not been able to come up with a really sharp version of this, but the film, which was a Academy Award Nominee, is just too good not to post. Watch closely, there are many telling details. Rooty Toot Toot.
