It seems the third book of Paolini's Inheritance series, scheduled for September of 2008, is not enough. Basically, he found that the story requires yet another book to complete the cycle that began with Eragon and continued in Eldest. No date announced for the fourth book.

Coming from Roc in the fall of 2009, The Sword of Avalon by Diana Paxton, about Excaliber, listed as a sequel to MZB's Mists of Avalon, but I wonder if it is might be a prequel to the main story, since, classically, the dying Arthur's sword was returned to the Lady in the Lake who gave it. Of course, Mists of Avalon was not exactly canon, either.
